Last Call - Wow, we did what?

Wow, what a weekend!

Our first Kara run went even better than I could have hoped. It started off a little rough. Due to some real life events we were down an off tank and two dps classes before we even got in the door. However, with a little luck and some great PUGs, we were able to get started. In total we had;
Kynthia - Cute little angry gnome did well with watching her aggro!
Jun - The amazing healing tree
Doompallyz - Our main tank and wonderful tour guide for the evening!
Carnifreak - poor guy had to listen to Kyn whine because he was out dpsing her!
Serennya - the Undergeared wonder!
Kuriuss - Boomkin!! yay
Kalyanna - "you want me to shackle what?" ::Kalyanna dies:: "oh, that one, oops"
Imoza - PUG mage
Whiteeagle - PUG hunter who is now a wonderful new guild member and apparently everyones favorite to pick on!
Judicae - PUG Pally (OT)

With the lack of CC we were pretty certain we would only get a couple bosses in and would have to give up. To our surprise, we got as far as downing Curator!! That was a major accomplishment for us as a group. The better news? We probably could have gone further if we had more time. Due to the late hour and people falling asleep we decided to stop there.

I am very excited and extremely proud of all our guildies for working so hard to get ready for this event. Hopefully, the interest will continue to show and we can get on a normal raiding schedule in the next week or so. There were some wonderful drops during our Kara run, and I'm not just saying that because they were mainly healer drops either! I did by some lucky rolls end up with some great gear.

All in all, this night was great, a ton of fun and I can't wait to do it all again! Hopefully, we'll have some more people available and make a full guild run next time!!

Last Call - Excitement in the Air

Well, here we are 3 days before our first Kara attempt. I'm so excited I can't stand it. Made my third run though Kara last Sunday and got a nice drop, now I can't wait to get the guild in there as a group! We've gained a few great new members! Welcome to Doom, Carni, Reg and the wonderful little shadow priest, who's name escapes me at the moment. We are growing by leaps and bounds. Our numbers are up to 75 with 19 level 70s! I'm also very happy to welcome our newest guild officer, Prenna. Her dedication and determination is more than amazing. Thanks to her and Durkan, we now have VENT and are enjoying actual conversations. It's a good thing we can't wear it out, we sure are using it enough!

It's funny to see all the new *friendships* building within our group. Kinda makes you wonder if some of them aren't more than just that! hehe. I'm glad to report that with the exception of a few small instances we are still doing really well at keeping the drama out! Our guild profession members are working extra hard to gather the patterns and items that our members are needing as well.

So, all in all, it looks like Last Call, is still moving forward. Can't wait to post next week about the progress of our Kara run!

Last Call - A New Beginning

Wow, who would have thought that LC would grow as quickly as it has? We opened LC less than 4 months ago with the hopes of forming a group of friends together with common goals and look where we are now. Nearly 60 members and going strong. I can't believe we have as many active, fun, caring and dedicate people as we do. It's nice to see that we all share the same common ideas - Keep the game fun and keep the drama out! All of our founding members are still there and we've formed strong bonds between us all. All of us with histories together going back much further than our starting days in previous guilds. It's funny to think back to the days when it was normal to log on and only find 1 or 2 other people online. It's seems nothing unusual now to log on and find 10 - 15 people! We have welcomed many new and great people into the mix over the last few weeks. Each one bringing something new to the group and bringing us one step closer to being where we all want to go.

Seems we are trying new things all the time. We are a brave group of adventures to say the least. Charging boldly into Azshara, on one very late Friday night, came 16 eager (if not crazy) individuals, ranging in level from 40 - 70, prepared to down Azurego the Dragon. Some wanting to relive the memory of days gone by, others wanting to experience the adventures that were pre-BC. After a many jokes, some crazy vent talking and a few naked gnome dances we put ourselves to work and eventually downed that evil beast. Some adventurers walked away with nice prizes to show for the victory, the rest of us content with smile and lots of fond memories. The photos of our victory now showing on the gallery page!

We finally have our first Kara run scheduled! This is exciting for us all to be raiding as a group instead of in our own individual pugs. I'll update soon with the outcome of this well anticipated event! Happy hunting to all my guildies and keep up the good work!!
